How we got started:

BCC was established in 1934, making it the oldest
church in Federal Way. The campus consists of 32
acres and was originally part of Bethel Temple of 2nd
and Lenora in Seattle.

BCC originally known as Bethel Chapel became
autonomous in 1996 becoming known as Bethel
Christian Center of Federal Way. Pastor Dennis
Austin has been our Lead/Senior Pastor since 1993.

During this time, Pastor Dennis and his wife, Sue
established a Child Care Center which is Washington
State Certified and serves infants through 12-year-
olds.

We also have a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade
Educational Facility. Life Academy of Puget Sound
(LAPS) became a Ministry of BCC in 1999. It was

originally established in 1989.
