Academics

Classes

The class size gives more time for each individual student academic needs. Our diverse student body and rich curricula provide our students with learning experiences that will last a lifetime. Our classes include Reading Readiness(Pre-School/Kindergarten), ABC's(1st & 2nd grades), Elementary(3rd - 6th grades), and Jr/Sr High(7th -12th grades). Students are generally placed based on age to create a peer-appropriate social environment though academic development and progress may vary.

Curriculum

To provide the latest educational aids to our students, our core curricula( PACE curriculum from Accelerated Christian Education and the LIFEPAC from Alpha Omega Publications) has expanded to include Alpha Omega's Switched-on Schoolhouse computer-based program as well as a variety of electives. Each curriculum explained in more detail below.

LIFEPACLifepac is the award-winning curriculum that servers as the foundation of each Alpha Omega product. Life Pac is a complete, 12-year Christian curriculum designed to teach five core subjects(Bible, Language Arts, History - Geography, and Science), plus an array of secondary electives. The curriculum is composed of consumable work texts that conveniently combine subject text, exercises, projects, review, and test.

Critical Thinking Skills
Students are taught to think conceptually through LIFEPAC cognitively challenging lessons and questions. More than just recalling facts, students grasp concepts through analytical and evaluative thinking skills. They learn 'why and how' as well as learning 'what'.

Integrated Bible Concepts
Students get into Scripture in a practical way through the natural integration of biblical concepts in every subject of LIFEPAC. As students study God's truth, their relationship with Jesus blossoms.

Reinforcement Activities
The LIFEPAC curriculum incorporates independent projects that give hands-on experience. These projects stimulate the development of creative and imaginative thought and give your students the opportunity to use skills previously mastered while remaining accountable to you - the teacher.

PACE Our School of Tomorrow (pace) curriculum has been meeting the academic needs of students in over 7,000 schools, in 110 countries, for more than 27 years. These materials are uniquely designed to incorporate character building into the curriculum. ACE offers individualizecore cirriculum with the scope of preschool through college preparatory levels in math, english socail studies, science, and word building(Etymology for level 9)

The curriculum allows students to advance from unit to unit as they demonstrate mastery. Students move independently through the curriculum under the supervision of instructors who provide tutoring at the optimum moment of learning.

Integrated Bible Concepts
Built on a theistic philosophic foundations. Students learn to see life from God's point of view. Their personal relationship with God and their personal responsibilities to family, church, and community are of primary concern

Switch-on-Schoolhouse Switched-On-Schoolhouse is a computer based curriculum that features tools for teacher preparation and student success. New Windows-based navigation screens allows students and teachers to effortlessly move around the curriculum, and a dynamic home page complete with animation provides an inviting doorway into world of learning.

TESTING We use the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT)which is given in April to all our students.This monitors scholastic progress and helps us improve as a school,and meets state requirements for an annual standardized test demonstrate students' national academic placement. It general last two to three full school days 9:00 am to 2:30pm.

We also offer it to home school only students in the local area, but notification is necessary
